Another Brexit failure

I think shortages of all sorts of things are becoming increasingly common.

You can’t even get a bag of postcrete without effort these days.

There are warnings of problems with chilled food.

I know people who work in the food industry saying it’s getting harder and harder to get the raw materials.

Really? We have a Tory government that is supposed to steer us through these choppy waters.

Now we know buying the vaccines was only a very small part of the solution it’s time for you Tories to face up to the damage caused by Brexit.

yawn!!!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
You don’t think the gradual unravelling of pretty much every aspect of our country is concerning? Your facetious “yawn” comment should really have benne backed by a bit of rationale thought. Are you getting bored of all the many many failures of Brexit being highlighted because a: some people keep going on about it or b: there are simply so many failures it’s almost a deluge of problems facing this country. As with anyone defending Brexit: you just need to see what’s happening and think a bit more

I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

"The Royal British Legion will no longer sell poppies in the European Union due to red tape following Brexit, according to reports.

The charity, which provides support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, is said to have sent an email to supporters stating it will "need to cease sales to customers in countries in the EU" for the foreseeable future until legislation surrounding Brexit is reviewed.

They expect the EU to grant UK special exemption to the rules that apply to all non-EU members by default? LOL and indeed LMAO.

The i newspaper reported that it could not justify the expense, including customs charges, to send poppies overseas following Britain's departure from the EU's customs union on January 1.

Poppies are worn in October and November for Armistice Day, and the charity sells them to raise money for members of the armed forces, veterans and their families.

It also sells a range of poppy jewellery, clothing and accessories through its online Poppy Shop.

The i said it has seen a copy of the email sent to supporters.

A Government spokeswoman said: "We are focused on supporting UK organisations as they adjust to our new trading relationship with the EU.

"The work of The Royal British Legion and the money they raise through their annual poppy appeal is incredibly important and we will engage with them to ensure they get the support they need to operate in the EU."

Businesses have faced tough new rules following Britain's severing of ties with the EU.

What new rules? They are the rules that have been in place for decades for third countries outside the EU Rules that the UK agreed to and upheld. Now they apply to UK.

Retailers, fishermen and fresh food companies have complained the new measures are delaying deliveries and increasing their costs due to the extra customs checks and paperwork.

At the risk of sweeping generalisation I would bet by mortgage that the vast majority of the forces and ex-forces voted for brexit. Pity they didn't have a fecking clue what they were doing. Anyway, I'm off to Tesco to see if any of their 50 tonnes of dumpster food is salvageable :p

Your posts always show such an accurate and deep understanding perceptive of the Brexit disaster, and I am truly grateful to you. I know now, as I live my "Good Life", that we have truly fallen off the edge of the cliff as predicted. I no longer go shopping, as I grow all I need in my garden. Besides, what is the point in visiting the supermarket, only to be confronted with angry customers fighting over scraps that remain on the shelves. As you say, the gradual unravelling of pretty much every aspect of our country must be terrifying to behold, and for all you brave people who dare venture outside.....please stay safe!!! One day we shall return to the safe comforting bosom of Brussels. Fuel prices must now be beyond the scope of normal people, and what is the point in travelling the Motorways anyway, when the trucks at Dover / Folkestone must be backed up to Inverness by now. The deluge of problems and the many many many many many many failures of Brexit that you quite rightly point out, are obviously leading to massive unemployment, anarchy on the streets and sterling been practically worthless. Please continue to keep us up to date.

Hahaha Brilliant 👍 😂
Prepare to be called worse that xxxx by the usual bores...

I realise now, after reading so many posts on this board (mostly by my mentor Smalltown), that my failures as a former Brexiteer have been well and truly exposed.
It is clear, if you support Brexit, then you are the following:
a) Thick
b) a Failure
c) Ignorant
d) Racist
E) a War monger
F) a Tory
G) a flag shagger
H) a Little Englander
.... please feel free to add to the list

I) Idiotic
J) no self respect
K) Sarcastic

L Denier
M) Shortly to be Unemployed
N) Pathetic

I am also going to saddle up on my Rocking Horse, and fully support the woke culture. I will start by burning all my childhood Enid Blyton books.

Your sarcastic and idiotic response doesn’t really address any issues of Brexit. I think that’s my biggest issue: some people. Such as you, actually revel in your ignorance of the situation. It’s crazy to me that you would show such pride in being ignorant. Do you have no self respect?

So proud if it!!! Poor you. I almost pity the Brexit failure deniers. You’re not going to understand why you’ve lost your job or your weekly shop is so expensive. I almost pity you but hey it’s your own fault
