Anyone a fan of the short corners to howson yesterday…

first one, I saw him chatting with carrick then dropped short but not close to Giles for the corner and he whipped it to the back post… still no goal from a corner but at least we’re beating the first man and getting it in there, even with a normal corner

they repeated it just after but I don’t think they tried it again… we are poor from corners and I guess we had a shorter team yesterday until crooks got a runout…

should we be trying to capitalise on corners more than we do?

Didn't happen yesterday, but so many times the ball goes past the back post and we have no-one there......

Given we were without Fry and Crooks it looked like we conceded that direct set pieces weren’t going to lead to much.

I’m hoping Barlesar will give us a better option, apparently he’s decent with dead ball situations.

A few corners were frustrating yesterday.. one in particular in the first half when they had a man off the field having received treatment. Surely it should have been swung in with them being a man light but instead it went short and the move broke down.

Probably being over picky after a great overall performance but hopefully something to work on

It was their big centre back who was off. Couldn't believe we didn't put it over.

I understand why we tried short corners yesterday, but normally i feel it’s effectively giving away the advantage you’ve just won, i.e the ball in the danger zone.
