Archer

Wasn't an ideal game for him with blackpool getting behind the ball. He obviously excels with space to run into. Still put a shift in though. Should have got an assist with pass to mcgree.

To be fair he never had the space to burst into today. Blackpool were very narrow.
He will be more of a threat against better teams at home, i.e last week against Watford. He will also excel away from home when the opposition are expected to press, leaving spaces for him to play on the shoulder.

They played a deep defensive line, which made it difficult for him. I can remember him having one good moment in the 1st half, when he chased down their defender and knocked him off the ball, then set up McGree for a chance.

I felt as the game wore on he was trying a little too hard. Trying to take players on because he's obviously desperate to get his first goal. After he gets it I think he will go from strength to strength.

Needs a goal. It will come.

Very difficult to play that role, especially with his stature. Think he would be brilliant playing off a big man.

Barlaser will feed him good opportunities

Game didn't suit his strengths today, playing a Blackpool team who effectively sat with the whole team deep and tried to kill the game - he's at his most effective when there's space to run into and turn defenders.

Still though he did ok and I suspect he will be an important players away from home especially. Wouldn't be surprised to see him have a much imported game next week at Cardiff.
