Are we going to Hell in a handcart and whose fault is it?

How would people who voted for Brexit admitting these problems are a result fix the problem?

You seem obsessed with getting a handful of brexiteers on here to admit fault but what difference will it make?

The damage is done. We have left and we aren’t able to go back. Not any time soon.

Admitting they got it wrong won’t change things sadly.

I think they know they’ve thrown the country into unnecessarily turmoil but, hey, they “won”. For many, that’s all that matters.
It actually will. When people start admitting the problems and the cause then the country can start being, can start demanding better. By ignoring or denying the problem you're just allowing the country to get worse and worse. Watching it burn.

I agree with the last paragraph though. Some people just need to "win". Which is sad really as we have all lost

If they haven`t openly admitted they were wrong, I`m hoping they have at least admitted it to themselves.
Guess we won`t really know until the next GE....by then though it'll be to late

Yeah, they at least know they are wrong. Which is why they now don't bother to defend brexit. Just get upset whenever it is mentioned and try and deflect from the problems.
So that's a start. But boy is it slow for some of them to come around. You would have thought failing industries, food shortages, family claim in energy prices and now fuel shortages would have been enough subtle hints.

I wonder what it actually will take for some of them? How desperate do you have to be to defend this failed process that you ignore all the chaos. Also, apart from being too embarrassed to admit you were wrong, what on earth is there to gain from defending brexit now?

No that will just get blamed on the pandemic I would guess.

Some are so deeply entrenched in their views that they'll never change their mind, its bigger than just food and fuel supplies as well. Brexit made people question their identities, if you love your country and are proud to be British then you were told to vote leave.

For some people they feel like they've got their country back and having food supply issues is probably a small price to pay.

Yeah that last paragraph is the problem isn't it. People genuinely think that and that it's worth it. It really isn't. Because they don't know what they have got "back". Seem they would rather live in a country with "sovereignty " than in a country with food. Which is insane
