I really like the previous round badge. The 86 one.

Designed by an old friend of mine and copied by Chelsea. And yes he is a professional.

Either go minimalist with just the red lion and mfc or base a proper crest on the above.

The 1986 badge will always be my favourite and our most successful time as a club was with us wearing that badge. I've never liked the current one. I can't understand why they didn't just leave the design exactly the same and just change the numbers to 1876.

The club was NOT saved from liquidation in 1986. The original 'club' which a lot of people use synonymously with 'company' - ceased to exist in 1986. The Football League permitted a new 'club', founded in 1986, to enter the league in the same Division as the defunct 'club'. Stop re-writing history!

I’d modernise the round 1986 badge personally. The existing badge is diabolical.

Have wanted us to go back to the badge before this one ever since we changed it ... Seen some decent ideas of a redesign of the previous badge too .. there should be a petition done as I think it would get a strong backing. The current crest is so bad, plain, and generic ... the kits would look well better going back to the circle design.

Thats not true or correct. MFC started that season locked out of the ground future very much in doubt. gibson, henderson, moskowitz agreement saved the club but not the company. wouldnt get away with it now but back then holding companies /golden shares werent a thing. acid test we're not a phoenix club youve overlooked is the original MFC and its league registration started that season, you remember the one locked out of AP. However, they managed to do it, same one finished it. cant have two different clubs replacing or assuming registrations and points mid way through a season. A phoenix club would of had to start bottom of the pyramid. Thats not us. end of. 86 is confusing and misleading but made a kind of sense at the time
