It doesn’t matter what he’s used to. It comes down to what offers are on the table. As a left footed centre back who is decent on the ball, has Premier league experience and is available for free, there will be plenty of interest.

He was a great player for us and he's still decent now.

As for being used to big wages, he's going to have to get used to not getting them at some point, be it through retirement or his next contract. I believe he is currently on £0/week?

If we needed another CB, and if his wage demands matched what the club could afford, then yes. Gibson was class back in the day.

But even with McNair going we still have Lenighan and Fry coming back from injury and VDB & Clarke, so CB is probably one of the strongest positions in our squad provided none of those depart or get seriously injured again. So ,it's probably a no for that reason.
