Rate Gibson and was disappointed he never made it back to the Boro this season, but love this quote on the bbc text from tonight's match for Norwich
"Ben Gibson is the definition of a ball-playing centre-back!" never really thought of him as that at the Boro but fair play, great player

Saw that too. Brought a smile to my face

He improved massively on the ball during our premier League season. It's not something you'd say about him back in 2015, but it's something he's added to his game and the comment isn't far off when you see him now

He was our best player in the Premier League season by a country mile. Really showed he could play at the highest level. He wasn't playing his best football when Burnley came in for him but we got a good fee for him nevertheless. Pleased he's doing well again as he seems a decent lad and he's had a rotten few years under that tw4t Dyche.

A centre-back marauding forwards has the tendency to unsettle the opposition. Whether it's done with the finesse of Pallister or the awkwardness of players such as Maguire, it is effective. I was glad to see Fry do it last night (despite him eventually losing possession), the instructions must have come from the top, and we have a biting midfield trio to assist.

Bloody hell I was not happy with fry stepping out and I'm sure warnock wasn't best pleased either.

Hard to look past them at the minute for the title.

Gibson was a cracking signing for them. I was hoping we signed him to be honest.

Was hoping Norwich would fail to go up and he'd come back here next season at the end of the loan, but they're nailed on for promotion now, and will no doubt make it permanent.

Glad to see a good player reviving his career though.
