Saha's should've been ruled out for offside in the build up, so I've never counted it.

He went with both arms. If he went with one, he may have got a proper touch on it.

I watched an interview with Di Matteo on the goal and Chelsea had noted that Roberts liked to come off his line and if they got the opportunity to try and lift one over him.

So in reality, it was Roberts fault due to his position.

ffs I had no memory of that 2009 strike either so I've been carrying an unwanted monkey on me back as a fan (on behalf of the club) for an extra 14 years that I didn't need to. FFS. wish I'd never read this post now . 14 years of unnecessaryness .

It’s amazing how many people forgot about Saha. A few of my mates (not on here) did too.

Roberts was definitely caught unaware but I think it’s a bit unfair to blame him as if it’s all his fault. Chelsea were a much better side than us and we weren’t good on the day really, all over the pitch.

Higgy has said numerous times that he was telling RDM to “hit it” (when he lost him) as he thought it would just sail over the bar.
