Better commentator than Jonathan Agnew?

Listening to TMS again this morning got me thinking about my favourite sports commentator. Agnew articulates what he sees so well and makes it sound so effortless. There's currently nobody better in my opinion.

Going one further, TMS for me is the best sport coverage by a country mile.

Best show on the radio TMS its a riot considering sometimes the cricket can be dull. I loved it when Agnew was baiting Geoff Boycott about his Test Match Centuries radio gold that is.

I know it is not the same type of commentary, but I prefer the Sky TV coverage. They do cricket unbelievably well IMHO.
I really like Atherton, Hussein, Lloyd and Holding in the same sort of way I like Gary Neville (expert, credible, articulate, insightful, entertaining and human).
My only downer is I'm not that keen on Robert Key.

I'm not keen on Cook, he's just so bland and I really can't stand Swann.
Controversial I know, but I just don't like women commentating on men's sport, or being "expert" summarisers, Tennis being the one exception for me.

I think ERB is excellent on TMS.. I've zero issue with female commentators so long, & this applies to their male counterparts, they are insightful, have on air spark & enthusiasm for the sport..

TMS is top quality & test cricket is a great sport to cover as it allows commentator personality time to shine.

Tennis is too fast to follow & commentate on.. plus the endless grunting does my head in.. many matches, on tv, I have to watch muted.

I like Sky’s coverage of both football and cricket. I like Roy Keane and Gary Neville.

In any given test match I make use of both Sky and BBC as some of the time I won’t be sat in front of the telly. Both serve a big purpose for me.

I even like Vaughan, despite the fact the entire cricket community has developed a disdain for him for backing the Hundred.

Another vote for TMS and the full crew. The only one I find a tad tedious is 'Tuffers'.
Giggles too much and he's wearing a bit thin now.

TMS is by far and away the best commentary programme by miles. I agree with the comment about Swanny he can be a pain at times.
