That's such a shame, he was fantastic the other night & will have been looking forward so much to the next match, gutted for him really
 
I'm surprised there arent more outbreaks. Transmission outdoors isnt a huge risk and player to player in a game I think is likely quite low risk. Indoors/ catering/ staying in a hotel/ cleaning staff/ family visiting/ support staff etc must lead to massive amounts of possibilities. Even in a post match press conference there must be plenty of potential opportunity to spread.

Testing is brilliant because it detects it and people can then isolate. Hopefully his case was picked up nice and early and wont lead to any significant outbreak.

I wonder if a testing, tracing and isolating system could be adopted to successfully manage a virus like this outside of football :unsure:
 
He's only young ain't he? Reckon majority of the Scotland / England camp will have had at least one vaccine so far so you'd like to think that would prevent some transmission
 
Interesting where he would have picked this up giving the bubble they’re in.

Spain had Busquets test positive after living and training with the rest of the squad but no further players tested positive.
