I really think that many fans these days are so fickle ( what do I get for my money attitude ) that many of them won’t even bother going back after lockdown as they’ll of got used to satisfaction someway else . DIY probably the next big thing
 
BB - many fans won't feel safe about going back for some time - or all time. Conversations I have had with vulnerable and elderly wondering if they have seen their last live football game.
 
Blimey Rob that brings the gravity of the whole thing home . That’ll be devastating for people who’ve gone all their lives and now it just stops.
The difference between the ones I refer to are ones who can but won’t and the ones you refer to as ones who want to but can’t .

Yes I can imagine the average age of crowds will go down a lot when the grounds reopen. Mind you, if a certain section of the population feel it’s too risky for them then you may as well just open the stadiums and let the younger generation watch the games. If the pubs reopen then no reason why football grounds should stay shut.
