EVERY SINGLE YEAR WE SEEM TO GET A HOME FIXTURE ON BOXING DAY and away on New Year’s Day. No respect for us southerners relying on public transport who can’t go to those games on those days.
We’ve never played Wrexham in the league before which is a bonus I suppose.

For lots of Boro fans living away Xmas is the one time of year they are back on Teesside with family and so it is a great occasion to be able to share a home match.

I am away every boxing day down south and was hoping for an away game.

They try and give every club reasonably accessible fixtures over the festive period (boxing day, NYD and the fixture in between).
It would be very unusual for Boro to get a fixture down south on Boxing Day or NYD.

I think we played Birmingham one year and we have had the odd midlands game, but usually its a Yorkshire or North West based team.

Agree. A short 6.7miles door to door for me. Perfect Hopefully not an early kickoff too so I can pub crawl to the ground.

What’s not to like!

Sky have to use a different type of camera lens on Boxing day due to the ever present cloud of Lynx Africa in the stadium. Apparently the normal lens cant break through the Haze
