Bolasie move OFF

Maybe Warnock has just realised he’s a bit of a d*ck now and isn’t the same lad he was when he managed him all them years ago.

Highly doubt we were ever in for him at all, even in the summer. Club will use it to justify that they tried when we end up with no one this month

Doesn't make much sense, but okay.

Both sides have literally confirmed that we tried to sign him late in the summer, but issues prevented it.

Not sure how pulling out of trying to sign him in mid-January would be used to show we tried either.

I wonder what the lad really wants .

Certainly would make sense a little bit of who blinks first . I’d wager both clubs are ‘ encouraging’ him to drop his wage . I guess it depends on how much he wants to play .

If he 'wanted' to play he'd have signed in August surely?

As I mentioned his wage demands must have been mentioned last time & that could have been the stumbling block, which the Boro would have said right at the beginning, you know what our terms areif you want to sign, maybe all the talk was from his agent & not us

Just not what we need... from the link:

Last season @ Sporting Lisbon scored two goals & five assists in 25 matches.
Since 2016 (2 years injured) just 32 Everton appearances with two goals & four assists.

We should be looking to younger & hungry players that want to progress, not someone living on their, long past & even then, debatable reputation.

We've seen those before, agree I would sooner we bring in a younger, unproven footballer, if any, than a has been who hardly plays but was once good

Just not worth the effort. He wasn't that good 5 years ago when he was meant to be 'good'. He's not kicked a ball in 8 months and wrong side of 30.

Also you'd think we would pay at the very least a quarter of his 80k a week. I would rather we sign a decent young winger from leagues 1 or 2 or find one on loan who's been in and around a first team this season.

Remember even if he did come in , it would take him ages to get match fit as he ain’t played at all . Like said above get a young hungry lad much like Watmore . Neil will have a big address book with contacts

I'm sure we can use the money that would've gone on his wages much more effectively. There's plenty of good players in the lower end of Championship and League 1 who could come in and hit the ground running. We have the best manager and coaches to identify those players and get the best out of them.

I'm quite relieved we weren't in for him in the first place. We've finally got a tight-knit group with what looks like a great team spirit, I wouldn't want some Billy Big Nads who has barely even kicked a ball in the last however long, coming in and possibly causing disharmony. Obviously that's not what Warnock wants either. Time to forget about this guy and move onto younger, hungrier and cheaper targets.

I think this is one of those that Warnock was talking about a few weeks ago when he said 'do we bring them in now, or do we wait until the summer and take the chance to get him on a free'

Either way i don this one is dead and buried just yet!

He will probably sign on the 31st of Jan as we've missed out on targets A - B - C and probably down to Target H😂

It still think its a 'never say never'.
