I know but my point was that Derby fans are entrenched in thinking Gibson is the one preventing their sale. If Gibson steps back now from his claim they will see the reality.
they were already looking to scapegoat, anyone they could. It was inevitable as soon as it got out about the arbitration case that we would be blamed. Regardless of what Gibson did or didn't do. In a post truth, social media age, emotion wins the war before truth even gets out of bed and puts it's clothes on.
Derby fans entrenched themselves on Morris's side a long time ago against Gibson, this is their easy way to blame someone without individually looking at themselves and why they didn't heed Gibson's warning about what was happening to their club.
They've convinced themselves the only way out of the legal block it that Gibson relinquishes his claim. But there are other possible ways out:
1 - the interested parties cut out Morris and admin and directly deal with Gibson. this appears to actually be in motion, possibly instigated by Gibson
2 - Mel agrees to arbitration with Gibson immediately to resolve the matter
3 - Mel accepts wrong doing and pays Gibson off to drop his claim
Options 2 and 3, are the responsibility of the person that got Derby into debt, got them points deductions, sold their ground, and pulled the plug unilaterally. so it's his moral duty to find a solution. Gibson has no responsibility to Derby County, Mel Morris, or even Derby's fans. His responsibility is to Boro fans, and dropping a claim that he believes is just, is at odds with doing the best for Boro.
So my point to all Derby fans, is let Mel pick up his own dogsh!t, don't ask Gibson to do it for him.
