Boro vs Luton 10th December

Wow really

I love England but I’d put club before country every time same as Diego.

Comfortably so.

England in a World Cup quarter-final is far more important to me than a standard Championship match against Luton.

That opportunity only comes around once every 4 years, often having to wait even longer.
Middlesbrough play in the Championship 46 times a season.

Whatever the result for Boro next week, we'll have another 24 matches to navigate.

I'll be going, and backing Boro as strongly as I ever do, but I'm glad it's not a choice I have to make, should England win tonight.

Be great to get back to the regular championship season, very strange not having Boro games to look forward too. Just doesn't feel the same.
Of course I want England to do well but that feeling of anticipation waiting for/watching Boro play can't be repeated watching England play, well for me anyway.
C'mon Boro and C'mon England in that order.

I liked that team.
Couldnt care if they qualified or not.

I really like that team too roofie. Some incredible players, just seems a bit mad to say a team who didn't even qualify for a tournament were the last ones worth watching! All about opinions though...😎

When you look at that team: Kevin Keegan, Colin Bell, Malcom Macdonald,................:(

I'd definitely watch an England World Cup knockout game ahead of a Boro match (obviously depending on the situation e.g. run of the mill league game vs cup final/play-offs).

They only come around every 4 years and that's if we get to one.

If it is at 1500 (which looks likely) - I will have a choice of viewing but I'm ashamed to say Spain v Portugal (if they progress) will be on the big screen and Boro on the laptop.

As I said on the other thread I’m at a wedding but if I wasn’t I’d be going to the Boro match and I’d much prefer it to be at noon so I could then also watch the 3pm QF (whoever is in it). I accept that might not be fair on fans who’ve pre-booked travel (although I travel to home games myself and usually pre-book).

I don’t see why it’s so taboo on here to say you want to watch more than one football match. There are 3 very important matches on Saturday as far as I’m concerned.

EFL should have scheduled all matches at noon ages ago.

Imagine we're looking at something like/...

Steffen
Smith Fry Lenihan Giles
Howson Hackney Crooks
Jones Akpom
Forss
