Boro vs Luton 10th December

I live locally but if I didn't I'd go to the Boro game and record England , put CDs on if driving home to avoid the score then watch it 'as live'

If we are in Quarter Finals I'll be going to Boro match then coming straight home to watch England match

Move the game to 12, I can see a huge hit on the attendance if the England game kicks off two hours later

Does anyone know why almost all Football and National League games are kicking off at dinnertime tomorrow?
This post reminds me of a national training course that I attended some years ago. We were given a team task about 9am to be completed by dinner-time. When it got past 11am was getting very frustrated with our lack of progress and told the rest of the team to pull their fingers out, only to be sold by the Southerners that we had until 6pm!!
(Dinner time depends on the North South divide).

Not quite true that. My wife and I both grew up in Acklam, and went to the same school. She refers to it as lunch and dinner, I refer to it as dinner and tea.

My poor daughter will be so confused, especially living down south it's going to look like I'm the one who's in the wrong, when everyone sensible knows it's dinner and tea.

You didn't have "lunch nannies" at school did you ?

This has been planned for months has it not? Don't think it's a last minute change or anything.

Always going to be some overlap with both competitions, caused by the winter WC.

I'd much rather these games overlapped with the WC, rather than trying to bunch even more fixtures together earlier/later in the season.

Definitely not! Dinner ladies ( or probably lady as it was a small village school).

I'd be watching the England match if they kicked off at the same.

I know it's a minority opinion on here, but I'm country before club.

I love both, but if I had to choose, it would be England, unless it was a friendly/qualifier/dead rubber.
Especially now you can watch the Boro matches online easily.

Again though, Senegal will be a very tough opponent, there's no point in counting chickens yet.
I usually would watch Boro before England but if it's the knock out stages of the World Cup then it's England

Am one of the lucky majority in that I will watch both matches live whatever scheduling.

Feel for those who will either incur cost and/or inconvenience if the Boro match kick off changes, but not sure what could be done to satisfy everyone on this occasion.
Good to have Boro back, but brilliant if we get England in QF.

Club before country for me but I would still watch England in a World Cup knockout if the games clashed, these games only come around every four years

I'd watch boro first all day long. I like to see England do well but find it hard to get very passionate about it. Probably due to the fact I'm half scottish lol.

As entertaining as some of the WC games have been I find myself just counting down the days until the boro are back. World cups for me are supposed to be a distraction over the summer not disrupting the season. Roll on the glorious 10th.

I imagine a lot of people would appreciate a 12.00pm kick off so they can watch what might be Spain v Portugal at 3.00pm...
