Happy for him to have done as well as he has in his career but make no mistake about it, he was bloody awful.Never as bad as some of the "experts" on here would have you believe. An awful lot of our fans have a real blind spot when assessing keepers. We still got screams of "get rid" at Steffen even in the Play off games.
Not the best keeper we've ever had but far from the worst and (from all accounts) a decent guy. Good luck to him in whatever he does next.
Nowhere near the worst keeper we've ever had. Certainly, he was younger and inexperienced and sometimes flapped at things, but by all accounts went on to have a very decent career and went through personal tragedy that most of us thankfully will never have to live with.
Seems a very decent bloke too, happy retirement to him and best of luck to whatever he does next.
Don’t think the comments have been too bad in this thread have they?Brad had an excellent career and earned the club a good transfer fee, any excuse to stick the boot into him though eh?
Without him playing that game would never have had the exciting ending that everybody remembers.Played in the semi final against Steaua Bucharest didnt he?
Limited, worst keeper we have ever had and bloody awful just a couple that jump out. The man has just retired after playing in the premier league for us and Liverpool, assisting us in getting to a European final also, he’s had a better career than most of us could dream of.Don’t think the comments have been too bad in this thread have they?
His ability was limited. In the same post I said fair play to him for achieving what he has done. Even he won’t believe he’s managed to do what he’s done I bet.Limited, worst keeper we have ever had and bloody awful just a couple that jump out. I’m sure he has plenty of self belief. His ability was limited. In the same post I said fair play to him for achieving what he has done. Even he won’t believe he’s managed to do what he’s done I bet.
