Brad Jones

Everyone on the planet has limited ability so yes you’re right about that.
Clever lad aren’t you. Your allowed to hammer Izzy jones whenever you want but we aren’t allowed the opinion that Brad jones has done well for himself given he clearly wasn’t the best

It is refreshing to know that we have contributors to this board that are better judges of a footballer's ability than the professionals employed by the likes of Liverpool or Feyenoord. Gives me so much hope for the years to come.
How can you call a player who only uses his right leg to stand on a central anything?

McNair is the central midfielder you are all asking for. He is not a CB
Know more than Carrick do you?

Why so touchy? Jones isn’t at the level we need, Jones has done very very well for himself to have came from non league and had some good games in the championship but he isn’t at the level required unfortunately as most fans can see.

Having watched Boro when we were stuck for a decade in the old Second Division, Brad Jones is not in my top 5 of poor Boro goalkeepers.

If you are going to go back to October! to make a point on something as important! as this, at least make sure you know who the manager was when the post was made.

How we got £2m for him was the big surprise - I thought he was the right build for a keeper, very decent reactions & decent shot stopper.. however was also - IMHO - too timid, weak on high balls & prone to too many lapses / errors, as we know when a keeper makes a spoff there is no one to bail them out & it is highlighted..

Has the trophies - & his Eredivisie title with Feyenoord 80 starts in 3 seasons is his most successful playing period of his career.. Boro was 2nd with 73 games...

He'll certainly be well set financially after 20+ years as a professional, from listening to Lineker, Shearer & Richards & their take on clubs they joined - for the money - joining a club to be backup professionally seems to be a common thought ( & why I think contracts should be incentivised ) us fans want someone who wants to play for the club - or at least want to win games - players are just happy to rock up & collect their money.. personally I'd want to be able to watch some footage of me playing & get a decent contract than a fat contract & bench time.

What does it matter who the manager was? Carrick thinks Mowatt is a good player and he doesn’t play McNair in midfield 😂

If you’re gonna post nonsense like you did about “but Liverpool signed him so he must be good” then you better not have any judgemental comments in your post history. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, multiple posts slagging off Mowatt, what are your credentials to make such judgements?

He was a very poor goalkeeper for us, I’ll give him the benefit that he was still young and too inexperienced to be playing at that level.

How we managed to get money for him I don’t know.

And the Tories brag about the improvement in our reading skills!
Multiple means more than one, unless you want to go back further than 8 months to find another one.
Anyway I have a life so I'm going out now so wont be her to reply when you find another one.

Brad had an excellent career and earned the club a good transfer fee, any excuse to stick the boot into him though eh?
It’s not sticking the boot in, the fella’s got a backside full of splinters.

It says it all when footballers have to turn their shirts the wrong way around when going up for a trophy so that people know who they are.
