Brexiwhingers

This seems to back it up, those that were around were pro EU, thise that weren't but act like they were are against?

Well found. I'm sure I've seen another poll or survey that showed a big change in trend of leave/remain voters in the 85+ age bracket, who were very pro Remain. Inconvenient for that strata of Leave voter - the Frank Mancois type - who were fond of declaring their parents or grandparents didn't storm the beaches of Normandy or defend the skies over Dover or fought at Waterloo only to be ruled by Berlin and little Napoleons in Strasbourg and Brussels.

We will only know the truth about how Brexit has impacted us as a nation in 24 to 36 months. Until then Remainers will worry and remain concerned about any negative stories that arise as fundamentally they can only be truly comforted by a return to EU membership. Brexiteers, as we are currently seeing, will in the early days celebrate achieving status quo as a victory and hope in time the things they voted for - reduced immigration and a place on the worlds stage as a major trading nation become a reality. I have always felt and are yet to be convinced differently that leaving was a better choice than staying but as I can do nothing about it for the next few years I’m not devoting a lot of energy towards the argument anymore as on here at least positions have simply hardened and debate become if it was possible even more divisive.

The facts are that when the dust settles we're gonna spend the what part of the next twenty years trying to get back to where we were as the economic fall out is too much to bear.

Immigration will be the same as it ever was, but with the added sickener that we Britons won't have freedom of movement.

Yeah, and when you lose your job mate or income you’ll be worried about more than broccoli 🥦👍👍👍👍👍🤣
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha BANTER hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha LEGEND hahahahahahahaha

Fishing went from our biggest trading surplus with europe to not sending a single consignment. Nice job there lads.

I remember during a Sky News doc there was a group of Mackem fishermen saying they were voting leave whilst standing in a 15 million EU funded fishing market. Can't say I feel bad for them now.

We will still trade with them! Brexit does not mean we cease to trade with the EU, it will just be more expensive to do so.

I agree Brexit will harm our standing and wealth, we will no cease to be a major trading nation though, that kind of rhetoric does not add anything to the discussion either. We all need to come away from being so sensationalist in how we communicate, the UK will remain a major trading nation, the extent to how much Brexit will impact that is a valid discussion but saying we are simply not a major trading nation is just untrue.
We already have ceased to be a major trading nation. We went from 4th in world exports down to 13th and dropping.

Wrong

If you think making deals with India, China etc won't come with immigration quotas from said countries - think again

Immigration quotas would definitely come with the India deal. That was the hold up with the EU deal, us objecting to that. It went through once we left.

As for China, haven't we offered to take in anyone from Hong Kong?

Oh that's alright then - if you're the rich 1%

What about the rest of us
I completely agree it's made everything harder for everyone, especially the working class and small business owners. It's still incumbent on all of us to make the best of a s***y situation though.
