But how long for? It is as yet unknown. Opportunity in the 70’s and 80’s was low too. Lapenna suggests older folk voted to **** over younger people at almost every opportunity. Absolute rubbish and as usual he is full of horsechit.
Once again, you're hardly promoting a collaborative approach.

You seem to have a high opinion of yourself yet your views and beliefs are no superior to those of anyone else's.
Practice what you preach and be more respectful.
As it happens, you are right I do have a high opinion of myself. 👍 I also have a high opinion of some others whom I don't always agree with, you haven’t made that list though as yet. It is a poor show if people were unable to say the same of themselves really, for their own self esteem if nothing else. However, I have never claimed perfection and openly said on here I may be wrong on this thread, time will tell.

I hope you get out of life everything you're hoping for (y)

I always feel that what sometimes is typed doesn’t reflect the individuals true personality.
Well at least I hope it doesn’t because if it does we have some truly awful opinionated people on this MB. Social media can be a terrible place at times. Nothing can beat face to face conversation.

It's grimly funny for Remainers isn't it?

I mean the one particular sector that Brexiters like Farage and Hoey and Gove put front and centre as a totem for benefiting from Brexit, one area that even most Remainers said should benefit (it was the sacrifice of the rest of the economy for this 0.9% that we objected to) was the Fishing Industry. And even this, if fact especially this, is a farcical sh1tshow.

You know what it reminds me of?

That's what Brexiters are, deluded Geordies, watching their own farcical self destruction.

Wish I hadn’t started this thread. I was only venting my spleen and I wasn’t aware that all statements had to be fact-checked 😉.

Ridiculous as usual. Every generation has its good and bad. When in my 20's and 30's i certainly did. I like many have had it rough too. Patience is a virtue from your want want want and expect expect expect brigade. You judge people wrongly imho selfishness probably in your case

More cod psychology from the board expert in quackery.

Did you have a generation actively voting to take away your rights and opportunities when you were in your 20s and 30s?

You can moan all you want, but the reality is we had a thing - EU membership and the rights and opportunities that provided and it's been taken away with nothing in return. Patience may be a virtue, but we've been living in the economy mess caused by our elders since 2008 and it's always those at the bottom, or trying to make a start who get it the neck.

Expect expect expect brigade is an interesting way of describing hard working people who want a decent crack of the whip.

I can only deduce from your comments that you must just enjoy the feeling of sticking a boot on the neck.

Look at the unsubstantiated tripe you posted your attempt at alienating large swathes of older folk. Trump would be proud of you

Trumpian, Coluka’s latest passive aggressive insult. Better than threatening to call the cops I suppose. I used to love this board. You could have a laugh and an argument but some posters can suck the joy out of anything. Glad I don’t live on here.

Trump is propped up by older voters.

I'm not trying to win anyone over on here, I'm trying to outline the situation as best I see it - as you are. But you could at least engage with the facts as they are and not dismiss them in a characteristically patronising way.

The facts are clear - Brexit and the Conservative electoral victories in 2015 and 2019 were all carried by older voters.

Everyone has a right to vote as they see fit, but older voters have consistently voted against the interests of the young.

My wife had a dress that needed returning to John Lewis that a few weeks ago they would have sent a courier to collect. Now they won’t so I said I’ll post it I’m sick of you having to chase them up.
As I know them in the post office the girl said “it’s complicated“. As well as filling out the postage form I had to fill out the two forms in the picture... the top one and the bottom one in triplicate!!
God knows what rigmarole exporters have to go through?

I wouldn't that they voted to deny a chance but the vote did do that that said, I've said before those under. 30 didn't seem to vote at all

They voted as they saw fit , rightly. Or. Wrongly.( And I think wrongly)

Yeah, good luck to them. But they obviously had priorities and those did not elide with providing people younger than them with those that they enjoyed.

Also 64% of 18-24 year olds voted in the referendum, marginally less than the 65% of 24-39 year olds and 66% 39-54 year olds. I've never argued that it wasn't the pensioners what won it 90% turnout!

Why did many young still vote brexit and old vote remain?
