Brighton tickets 15 quid

Great prices.

Season card holders:
Adults £15
O65 £10
U18 £5

General sale:
Adults £20
O65 £15
U18 £10

No doubt someone will complain somehow.

Not bad prices at all, they wont bring many, be surprised if we get more than 15k there still.

Crazy to think there could be 5,6 WC players on show - McGree + there lot.

Not bad.

Up on previous seasons against middling Premier League opposition, but I suppose everything is up now.

£15 is the norm for a third round game isnt it these days?

Cant remember how much the peterboro and newport games were

£15 for an adult for a Premier League opposition is a very good price, OK they may play their normal reserves, but ability wise it would be a top Championship side. In 1997 it was £12.50 to watch us play Chester in a third round FAC match at the Riverside. Inflation must be 80% in that period, but ticket prices up 20%.

VB - I predict 17k to 20k.

We have nearly 20k STs - say 80% take up the offer that's nearly 16k
If Brighton a top half Premier League Club can't bring 1500, its a sad day for their support.
At those prices they will be some Boro non season ticket holders wanting to see a Premier League club.

33% increase for non-season ticket holders, 50% for O65 and 100% for U18s is unjustifiable.

Is the glass half full or half empty?

A 33% increase for non-season ticket holders for some is a 25% discount to season ticket holders to others.

A statement on pricing for this game can be framed positively or negatively.

The key for me is what is reasonable (to club and supporter) for a non-televised FAC cup game against a top half Premier Club £15 or £20?

The majority of ticket sales will be to season ticket holders so that is the standard price. The extra charge to non-season ticket holders is just another kick in the teeth and another signal that they are second class. It's not like it will sell out. It's just a way to take more money from non-season ticket holders and away fans. The justification for cheaper prices makes sense for the season ticket itself because it's a season long commitment but the extra games is unjustified, especially so with the difference being so stark. £1 more would be fine but it's going to cost a family of 4 £60 compared to season ticket holders at £40. It's a massive difference.

Nano - bear in mind away fan season ticket holders will very likely get the discount too.

It is possible at present for people to buy a 12 match season ticket and get the lower priced tickets. Although I know the economic climate is difficult for some fans. We all know the Club would like most fans to be season ticket holders and this has been the policy for many years. This is built into a decison on whether to be a season ticket holder or not.

Myself I think £20 and £10 are fair prices for high level live entertainment, so to me its more the season ticket holders are getting a cheap price than other fans getting ripped off. Of course we don't know the sort of teams that will put out, but last season we put out strong teams against the Premier League opponents.
