Brighton v City

I always think about how gutted the brighton fans were when we held them off to get promoted under karanka.

Travelling all the way back to brighton must of being horrible.

Little did they or us know how things would pan out after that day!

Same could be said about Brentford. We went toe to toe with both of them and they’re now both established Premier League clubs and are doing it the right way.

Amazing model Brighton have.

Every time a big fish comes and takes their important members of the club - players (White, Bissouma, Cucurella, Burn, Trossard etc), Staff (Potter, Reid, Hamberg, Saltor, Roberts). They not only replace them, but they improve the club with better players/staff.

They are incredible with how they do it.

Losing Potter, and then replacing him with RDZ was a masterstroke.

Good luck to them in Europe and long may they continue doing what they're doing.

They'll very much likely lose Mac Allister & Caicedo in the summer for huge amounts of money.

But I have no doubt they will already have suitable replacements lined up, for the fraction of the costs of both those two players.

I hope they don't lose RDZ so soon, as his style of football is electric and so attractive!

Southampton used to be similar, churning out top top players, only to lose them to the top clubs (most notably Liverpool - Mane, VVD, Lallana, Lambert, Clyne, Lovren, Crouch...etc), so I hope they don't end up like Saints.

I'm sure in time, Brighton will eventually be relegated, as is the cycle of football, by at this moment in time, they're a well run club and a model we should be aiming and looking at.
