Buy a brand new iPod or get an iPhone and use Spotify?

Or get the battery in my current iPod replaced as its charging percentages have become erratic?

Am I Doctor Who and have I gone back in time to 2005?

If you can get the iPod repaired do it.

Not sure you can buy iPods anymore can you ???
Not from the Apple website any more by the looks of things mate, I didn't even realise they'd stopped producing them... I was just wondering what the most up-to-date way of finding and listening to music was as I might as well be stuck in 2005 🙈

I have a Sony MP3 player. I have free Spotify on my phone but rarely use it other than that I have no music on my phone.

If it helps I use Spotify. Mainly on my iPhone.
Can listen in the car, on my Bluetooth and on my smart TV.
I still have my iPod. I still buy the odd CD. So I’m as bad 😂

I would like to keep my 2005 Ipod going, but I can't see any reputable source for a replacement battery that won't catch fire.

Still use my iPod. Got one imported from the states as they are louder than the UK ones. :D
Spotify never appealed to me. You can still buy refurbished ones. Don't know what to do when it breaks as a lot of the Sony ones seem to cater to "audiophiles" which I am not.

I have an early iPod which has a smashed screen and various other things wrong with it. Much better sound than my later one it had, and it was much much louder.

I should also add that modern iPods turn the volume down for you automatically, which is incredibly annoying. Even when playing through a speaker.

I have a 160GB Ipod Classic and the battery has died now. I investigated changing the battery myself but it seemed tricky so I didn't. I've slowly learned to love Spotify on my phone now (but I use the paid version so I can download stuff to play offline on flights etc).

I have a Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M 30GB wowza spec yeah?
It served as a means to store and output video (read porn) and music for 16 years from 2006 and died in 2022. I still have it in a drawer and can't bring myself to throw it away. I know I could possibly fix it but I simply can't be @rsed these days, too much other stuff going on.
Brilliant little device though.

Personally I can’t see the benefit of not just using a streaming site/app where you have access to almost every song ever released?

I've got a Google Pixel phone and use the Muzio Player. I download music mainly from Bandcamp so that artists get paid properly (especially on Bandcamp Friday's)...as they don't on Spotify.
