Buying tickets off Twickets site

Last week I bought tickets for the Libs gig at the 02 Academy in Leeds tomorrow night.

I bought them off the site Twickets, and I'd contacted the seller on Friday to find out when would he be sending the tickets. He told me he didn't have access to a laptop but would send them the next day. I received a reply from him the next day, asking me if I'd received the tickets (which I haven't)

The seller is supposed to transfer the mobile tickets to you from their original point of purchase, using the email address that you specified when purchasing the tickets, so I created an account with Ticketmaster and told him that this may be the reason why the tickets haven't come through; not having an account.

I haven't recieved a reply from him since and I'm starting to worry now, with the gig being tomorrow. Has anyone purchased tickets off Twickets before and experienced any issues?

I do have the original purchase confirmation email from Twickets but I'd imagine they'll want to see the original tickets.

Hope this works out for you
I’ve heard good things about that resale website.

Does the original purchase confirmation have the barcode on them?

No, it doesn't. I'm hoping he's tried to send them but was unable to due to me not having a Ticketmaster account, and he'll be able to just resend them.

Here's what it says in the email I received after I'd bought them....

"Please note that the tickets will NOT be transferred to you via your Twickets account. The ticket(s) will be transferred directly to you through the account you set up with the original ticket retailer"

The last tickets I bought on line from Ticketmaster (e-tickets not proper ones) weren't able to be transferred - they sent you a link which had to be scanned at the venue, the link couldn't be transferred as it was tied to the mobile number provided to buy the tickets.

That might be irrelevant if the original buyer didn't buy using a mobile and bought via email but I got stuck with tickets for a show I couldn't go to because I'd used the mobile option and the only way to allow someone else to access them would have been by giving someone my mobile to use.

I wonder if that's why he'd said about needing access to a laptop before he could send them. I found it a bit strange initially, as I'd wondered why he couldn't just send them using his mobile.

Does twickets not have a live chat or CS number?

if the tickets are from ticketmaster, the current gigs I have in my account are animated barcodes for phone use and I can only sell them via ticket masters portal so hopefully he is actually able to list them?

If he doesn't reply soon that will be my next step.

As I've said, I'm hoping the issue will be that I didn't have a Ticketmaster account when he tried to send them, and he will be able to just send them again.

Doesn't matter if he'd used the mobile option - the link was only on the mobile and had to be shown at the venue - with mobile option there wasn't an email link, just went to the app on the phone so non transferrable.

Really hope that hasn't happened in this case. I can always contact the 02 Academy and make them aware of what's happened if the seller doesn't reply to the messages I've sent, but don't know how understanding they'll be.

I've got the opposite problem, I've just sold tickets through Twickets (ironically The Libertines also, but for Rock City), I have had to post them as they were physical tickets but I don't get the money until 5 - 7 days after the event. I assume Twickets will have already taken the money from the buyer and I won't have anything to worry about when it comes to payment.

If he didn't use the mobile/app version then that scenario isn't an issue and he should just be able to email the e-tickets to you but by the sound of it he's just not responding to you now? Have you contacted Twickets, they should be assisting with this now if the seller isn't doing what he should be

Yeah, the money has already been taken out of my account. Not sure if the seller will have recieved payment yet.

Just starting to become worried due to his lack of contact but hopefully he's been working today and will get back to me soon.

Just been on the main site and doesn't look as if they have a customer service helpline so I've sent them an email.

They have a good reputation so should hopefully sort you out one way or another.
There's every chance it's been human error on my part. I should have read the original confirmation email I'd received from Twickets more carefully, as it states that I'd have to set up a Ticketmaster account to receive the tickets. I'd assumed the seller would have just been able to transfer the tickets over directly to my email.

Ahh, I see.
hope it works out. If it’s any consolation I’m told they are really ‘on it’ at the moment

Here's the email I've just received from Twickets customer service.

I have copied your seller on this email to confirm the transfer procedure to both of you. Seller will need to transfer the tickets via Ticketmaster's mobile transfer system to buyer's Ticketmaster account which should have been set up using the email address buyer provided at the time of purchase.

We are aware of issues with Ticketmaster's system where some transfers do not show up in the buyer's account straight away. If this is the case here, please could seller cancel the transfer and try again, which should solve the issue. Please note that the transfer should be sent and received via a desktop device rather than a mobile.

If you try again and there is still an issue, please could seller contact Ticketmaster directly so that they can look into the issue.

The seller has replied to the email we were both copied into. He was asked to cancel the transfer and send them again and this is what he's said in reply. Could it be the same issue you'd had and he's bought them using the mobile option?

"I have tried doing this but for some reason the barcodes aren’t showing on the tickets. I have messaged Ticketmaster and asked for their help but have had no response as of yet. If you can step in then please do."
