This is unpleasant watching. We are conceding penalties all over the place. You simply can’t do that at this level

England never really in the game in spite of the close score. Thought Scotland were good after beating Wales in November, with a good Welsh performance.

That was very poor. I actually feel worse this year then I did last year after our first match humiliation (probably cos I was hammered in St Denis a year ago)

Im less concerned. Scotland are much improved and pleased for them. They olayed great stuff last year and hammered the Welsh.

England soluttered. They will improve.

I genuinely don’t think Scotland were as good as the commentators are saying. Couldn’t clear their lines at first, really couldn’t convert given all the possession and territory they had.
That being said Hogg was back to his mercurial best: good to watch and great game management.
We were just poor. Disjointed, the penalty count was ridiculous and we couldn’t play our usual counter attacking game and pretty much nothing came off. Daly’s knock on whilst under zero pressure pretty much summed up our day

A chastening defeat for England who were bossed by Scotland all game. I suspected the loss of Sinckler, Mako Vunipola, Underhill and Launchbury would be too much and so it proved.

Take nothing away from Scotland who were brilliant.

Their defensive line, without giving away penalties, will get them over the line in a lot of games. And Hogg's kicking was mercurial.

True their defence was amazing. And Hoggs kicking was simply outstanding. So was his running and his game management was perfect too. Knew when to pin us back, knew when to run at us and (when Russell was in the bin) knew when to just make sure they had balls up the jumper

Wouldn’t read too much into it, Scotland are no mugs and too many key players missing.

10 o'clock yesterday (sat) morning and I had a feeling the stars were aligned for one of those brilliant days when cricket football and rugby combine to create sporting nirvana (or at least take our minds off stuff), still a good day though as I reckon bolasie will create havoc in our remaining games

I think Scotland's performance was quite good, no better than that. England were so bad that Scotland should have won by 25 points. A series of bad decisions by Scotland - kicking for touch instead of for goal, and then for goal instead of for touch - kept it closer than it should have been.

Scotland can play much better than that. I'm very happy though that the Calcutta Cup comes back again, three years out of the last four.
