Cameron Archer

I don’t get the obsession this club has with re-signing ex players, or appointing them in club roles.
It's not an obsession with players though is it.

Colin Cooper - success
Gary Pallister - failure
Patrick Bamford - success

There aren't that many are there?

archer is a player any team in the championship would have. Hence why the best team in the league ( Leeds) wanted him too. We shouldn't discount ourselves from the situation just cos he played for us before. He was excellent for us by the way.

Should I change my name to moaning Alan?

He was woeful. Have a look at the players ratings.
I still think he was carrying an injury. Late on in the second leg the ball was dropped in behind the right back for him to run onto and just couldn't get away from the Coventry player. Usually he would have pulled away, opened his body up and put the ball across the keeper into the far corner.

Judging Archer's time at Boro on the Coventry play off is just nuts. He wasn't the reason we lost. To say he downed tools is just nuts - that is saying he didn't want to win, didn't want a Wembley final and wasn't interested in a permanent contract with Boro in the PL. I would suggest - that would be would have been motivated to do the exact opposite..... It just didn't work out for the team!

It would explain the complete lack of movement. I remember being absolutely livid and screaming for him to be hooked.
