Cardiff want £100m compensation for Sala

What have Nantes got to do with it? I thought it was the agent who arranged the flights and Cardiff officials were aware of the arrangements?

Can't let it lie

4 years after he died travelling to the club they are suing Nantes for £100m, after spending £15m on him.
Pariahs.
Taking the very real human tragedy out of this.. shouldn’t Cardiff have had done dirt insurance in place to cover for any financial loss.. and that be sorted relatively quickly?

Feel really sorry for his family. RIP

I'm not sure if there wasn't a grey area and his insurance was null and void.

Other than the football fans, I think there's been a lack of humanity from Cardiff throughout this saga.

Does that not equally apply to
Nante? Im hazy on the details but squabbling over his corpse is pretty grim and the games arbitrars and the clubs could have handled this much better

I am sure you/we could point the finger at Nantes but I am not sure exactly what they have done wrong other than ask for what they were entitled to (according to the arbitration panel) and argue their corner. Cardiff started legal proceedings against them in the French courts.

The whole saga is a stain of football and how we treat players. We should never lose sight that a young man's life was lost through greed.

Dont disagree with any of that, its been handled appallingly by all concerned by the sounds of it and the arbitration agency have failed miserably in achieving a fair outcome for all imo. Its sad, very sad - the concerns of the mans family shouldve have been central to this.
