Christmas Left Overs

No match on so just been pottering in the kitchen salvaging yesterday's leftovers.

So I've now got:

Turkey Curry Pies
Gammon, turkey & leek pie.
Turkey Broth - Stock from boiled carcass and bones. All the meat picked off and added to a thick broth made with barley & Christmas veg (and left over stuffing (y))
The usual cold cuts (gammon and turkey) - tea tonight with chips.
A big bowl of leftover veg for a "bubble & squeak" fry up tomorrow. Fry it nice and gnarly with corned beef, served with a fried egg on top.

Turkey picked clean. The product of a poor upbringing where nothing was wasted in our house.

As Harold Steptoe would have said "A Bombay $hlte hawk would have left more meat on it"😋

Anyone else a fan of leftovers ?

Was that just the starters?

Love Christmas leftovers, maybe more than the main event. Had a couple of pigs in blankets with scrambled eggs for breakfast, turkey sandwich for lunch with some cheeses and were about to have the left over turkey and ham with cheesey onion mash and pickles.

Always get a turkey way too big so there's plenty leftovers....... and like I said, my upbringing means waste is a no-no.

Same here. Christmas dinner was lovely but it always seems a chore, whereas leftovers are a pleasure.

We noted yesterday that the MiL had spent maybe 6 hours getting everything ready, and because we decided to skip the starter, everyone had finished in 20 minutes.

Turkey Madras been bubbling all day, but we've all been picking all day, so that'll be tomorrow's tea. Still got a tub the size of Mars in the fridge full of turkey for sandwiches the next few days. Piccalilli, pepper chutney, beetroot and pickled onions to go with it, but also some gravy left fir hot turkey sandwiches. Yum

Chicken reheated in gravy, roasties (supplemented with chips) and peas. Apologies can't match everyone's culinary efforts but I'll enjoy it just the same.

The other 'leftover' I seem to have are the most shocking roast dinner/brussel sprout farts. 🥬🥬💨💨

(Always a capon never a turkey when I was a kid)
