Getting off work into Cyprus next week and got myself 4 nights booked in Paphos before I fly home. Has anyone got any tips on the best things to do, see, eat and drink ?
👀🍽️🍺.

Any advice appreciated.

Spent some time working there in Paphos 10 years ago and liked it so much I went back in holiday with the family. Definitely do the Troodos mountains. The difference in temperature is quite amazing. I went on a jeep safari along the coast and did a tuna fishing trip. Both good. Limassol and Nicosia... not sure, went to a water park in one of them and lost my big toenail on a slide, which was nice, and flew to Jerusalem for a crazy 24 hour day trip from Larnaka. They say Famagusta in the Turkish area is worth a look too.

For food, lots of good places in and around Paphos harbour. IIRC there was a big white restaurant called the Seagull which was good

Bar street is the main area for the nightlife in Paphos. The harbour is a lovely place with plenty of restaurants would recommend Captains View (Harbour) The Windmill and Argo (off Bar st). The Roman mosaics are near the harbour and The Tomb of the Kings is on the way to Coral Bay. Love Coral Bay good food and a nice beach also Latchi is nice but not close to Paphos.

Kingfisher on Tomb of the Kings road is an excellent restaurant with cheaper prices than the harbour area. The new town is interesting to wander around (opposite end of Paphos to harbour). If you get chance take a ride up into the Trudos Mountains. Kekopatria is a village where time has stood still, well worth a visit!

Hire a car and get about. So much to see around the island, Troodos is a must and be warned it's a dam sight cooler up there. We used to laugh at tourists shivering when I worked at the Golf Balls. Over the top to Nicosia via Kykko Monastery and overlooking the North and the Turkish mainland. Look out for the Turkish soldiers along the border, but don't wave, the locals get upset. In Nicosia you can cross the green line to the North on foot via either Ledra Palace or Ledra street but be warned there is customs so stay in your limit and don't forget to take your passport. You can then take the motorway back to Paphos via Limassol the Police are shoite hot on speeding and covert so no warnings. Electricity is the same as UK and UK plugs as well. Try a Brandy Sour, tops if done correctly.

Used to be a nice quiet cove / beach just up the coast from Paphos. St George’s I think.

This was about 20 years ago though… probably all over developed now 😂

Was at a wedding there in 2009 when we were relegated. Been to visit my daughter in Limassol recently a couple of times.

If you're only there for 4 nights I wouldn't bother with Limassol but the Troodos mountains are ok for a drive out. Found the food to be decent in Paphos but didn't find any decent boozers, I was with family though and it was a long time back.

Bar street is utter crap. The top half in a empty and torn apart the bottom half is just terrible. Crap beer and worse music.
There was a lot of bars closed when I went in May. Due to pandemic they never reopened.
If you are only there for 4 days you find enough decent bars. Quite a few show english footy.
