About 15 mins before the start last night…..
I whacked some money on a Coventry win

Never has money meant so little to me - nice feeling giving it away today tho

I considered the same.. I should have tbh I don’t think have has a bet come in yet!

I have never bet against them. Purely because I know I won’t feel any better about us losing, and the very small superstitious side of me would wonder if I’d somehow caused it to happen. But also, if we win, I’m like £100 down or whatever. I would say one of the main benefits of gambling on football is to make matches I have minimal interest in slightly more interesting, and I just don’t need to do it with Boro.

My favourite was Bolton away in our promo season.
Remember they were awful.

Went into the bookies and put £20 on Bolton to win.
Bookie looked at me and laughed.
I said ‘it’s ok, I’m a Boro fan. He looked confused.

2 mins from a chunk of money I didn’t want. Great feeling.

I must admit I've had a few bets against the Boro this season, mainly because for the first time in a long time we've been favourites going into nearly every game so the odds on offer for us not winning have been half decent for a change. I usually do double chances (opposition to win or draw against us), and usually its part of an acca to get the odds up a bit more. Winning a bit of money now and then doesn't lessen the disappointing feeling of us losing though.

I've won a fair bit on correct scores - always with us. You just get a feeling for 3-1 or whatever and follow your instint.

V Cov - I just wasn't feeling it at all but put it down to nerves. in that case 1-0 to them would have been the obvious result.
