Connolly really ?

We are playing with our backs to their goal making it easy for defenders and midfielders to pick us off.
We need to get behind them , like Jones started to do near the end, but they all need to step up a gear.

TBF I have barely heard Connelly mentioned. Not sure what that first 15 minute hard man act was about but it cost us three justified yellows. Just makes the game more difficult now. Silly
Blackburn look really good tbf, just a lack of quality in the final 15 (the main thereat is obviously missing).

Hope we win but a point looks a bonus at this point (although the penna, it's a yes for me)

You can't hassle someone when they haven't got the ball!!

The majority of the play's been in the midfield or our half, they had 11 shots and we've had 1. Our forwards have had a lack of service but like mentioned above, we are still in this.

he wont change formation unless we go behind
 
I think that Blackburn have matched us well for pace and movement. Any striker would be struggling tonight and they're just not going to give Connolly any room.

There's no way we can go with the all pile on tonight, so Watmore will surely make an appearance as he is capable of a breaking run with a composed finish at the end of it; I just don't see Connolly delivering that.
 
Connolly looks devoid of any confidence and maybe he should not have started Imo. Wilder got it wrong tonight — again the left side was static so I’m not too sure what is the reasoning for this tactical error. Crooks mind you was awful couldn’t jump to save his life mind you the whole team seem to have glue on their boots.

I thought he was good in bits. But he clearly needs match fitness and more time to gel with the team and how wilder wants to play

Defensively they’re top notch— Mogga has them well drilled!! Although Crooksie really should have grabbed us a point but overall we were blah 😒
