Coventry far from a forgone conclusion

They are a useful side and their season has padded out in a similar fashion to ours. Robins has moulded a unit that works hard and is effective at the way it gets results.

We have yet to prove we can dominate and score against them.

Some of the assumptions made on here - albeit by the minority is the height of arrogance and doesn’t reflect well on us.

A hard tense game between two sides who are more closely matched than some would have you believe.

Can we win? Yes, of course but we need every unit within the team to be on it from the start. Here’s hoping

An early goal for us, they have to take a risk and come out which will suit us. If this happens we could batter them.

BUT. I expect them to adopt exactly the same tactics as the league game and sit 6-7 very deep, with their outlet being the ball into the channel for Gyokeres to chase.....and hope he manages to score off one of them.

And IF they score early on we have to break them down.......and one goal in three games against them.........

Premature speculation this Wembley talk 😳

They seem very strong defensively and their keeper has some amazing stats.
I think they are very wary of our strike power as shown by their cagey approach to the first leg .
I would be much more confident with an on form Ramsey in the side .
But I don't see why we can't do it.
I think Coventry also need to bring a ball of their own because I don't see them seeing much of the one we have.
Hit us on the break must be their plan

I see it going one of 2 ways. We score an early goal and it could end up being a typical home performance.. so 3-1!

or its very tight, goalless first half and the first goal is the winner as legs tire and the game stretches.

It would be nice to think we will win comfortably and we can all have a great night but I think we will be on the edge of our seats for quite a while.

We know that Boro have to take a couple of the chances that we always create and not allow Coventry clear chances from breakaways.
Whilst this is possibly going to be difficult to carry out, think back to earlier in the season and that if we had been offered a game at home against any team in this division where we just had to win by one goal to go into the tie at Wembley to win promotion, we would have jumped at the chance. 😛

2-0 for me a goal in each half, when the chips are down you will see a top Boro side 👍
I've said it for weeks we are going up.
We are probably the 2nd best side in this division, nothings changed 👍

I am very worried. But only because I can't think rationally at the moment. On Sunday, in my mind, they were going to score with every attack or spawn one in of a backside,

Remember when british sides used to go away in European competitions and comeback with a nil nil result thinking job done, only to get beat by a counter attacking team. I'm not saying this was Coventry plan but if it was we could have fallen into a dangerous trap. This tie is wide open and we have to be at our brilliant best to beat them.

I see arrogance on both sides, with some of our fans thinking we’ll smash them, some of theirs thinking that we can’t score against them and this is set up for an away win.

Reality is it’s going to be a close nervous affair, either team could win it, pens aren’t put of the question, we’re only marginally better than them and home advantage is another marginal in our favour, but it’s really going to be about those big moments

I agree that’s the situation we are in, but I don’t think cov planned it that way. The advantage we have is that we’ve got 2 hours to beat them, we can be patient, that extra 30 might be needed.

I've seen alot of people say how the pressure is on us and how this could play into Coventry's hands.

I don't see it, they're a good team but we're gonna have a sell out and hopefully and electric atmosphere sucking the ball into the net.

Their crowd was subdued, the longer it went on the more they realised we had them nullified and if anybody was going to score it would be us.

If we can get the atmosphere to fever pitch, similar to the Spurs game I think our big game players come to the fore.

The outsider perspective is we're the best team in the play offs so pressure is on us, what they don't realise is 99% of the fanbase are absolutely estatic with our season and no matter what happens tomorrow night there's a sense of pride and excitement, no pressure on our lads at all.

Lets not forget as a player our gaffer has done the lot, if anybody can impose a sense of calmness it's him.

We just gotta go there tomorrow and roar them on and pray the ball drops to Chuba or Archer early doors and they can take it
