Crowds and performances

I have watched every kick of this seasons games and have come to the following conclusions.

1. 80% of the games have been poor to watch, little excitement, goalmouth action, pace and tackling.
2. Most of the teams we have played follow the same tactics as us and as such cancel each other out - Brentford, Norwich exceptions
3. The pace of the 80% was well below what we would see with crowds... some games looked like pre-season friendlies....

The crowd would have enthused most of the matches, picking up the pace, increasing the physical play and creating a more improved performance.

Hopefully crowds will return for 21/22 season and as such is it reasonable to view this season as a one off .... maybe some of our loanees would up here game with a crowd, indeed maybe some players NEED the crowd to create a impulse to stir them on... ( a desire to please) .....However some players have improved without crowds Bola, Dysteel have thrived without crowds, Harry Charlton was a young starlet back in Boro 1974 squad. Would turn on the skills in training without crowd pressure but got lost , scared, when in the first team... he knew this sought help but couldnt cure the problem.... Hopefully Bolo, Djksteel with progress more with crowds

It's been a season to forget for sure.....weirdly there have been some cracking games at the Premier league level though.

I think it’s attitude and momentum as crowds create pressure positive and negative but in this void there’s no real external motivating pressure aside from warnock shouting.

thats my view as well..... certainly there are times when crowds make no differrence (wembly play offs) and players freeze on the occasion....

I watched City v Liverpool last month. I swear I didn't see a tackle for 4-5 mins. It was like watching a testimonial. Absolute walking pace.

The sooner fans get back the better. I think some players / managers and clubs are getting away with murder. Then again I guess the likes of Bola and Dijksteel have benifited.
