Did Boro make Michael Carrick miserable?

Hes near to where he lives, nothing worse than working away imho. Plus everything is going well for him ATM, soon as he gets a few defeats and the critics get their gloves on it will seem a lot worse than being on Teesside I bet.

Edit* As a note he played some good stuff at the Boro at times, if he has the players which he should have there he might just do very well.

Really good start for him and clearly has the team more motivated and better setup than Amorim (who I genuinely think was trying to get sacked).

Whether it lasts who knows. Pressure will be like nothing he experienced here when they do go through a sticky patch.

By the end, yes. We were consistently throwing away points from good positions and he couldn't seem to break the cycle and seemed out of ideas (which also made the fans unhappy too!). It was odd really as the previous season when we had a bad run he switched to 3 at the back for a bit to make us more solid and get some confidence back but last year he just plodded on with the same formation and style hoping things would change. He just seemed out of ideas and needed a break which he's now had.

Same as Edwards after Luton. Had a break and came back with us re-energised.

A decent bloke who initially did well but struggled after a good start. It’d be enough to make anyone miserable

Maybe slightly irrationally I'm still irritated by the fact he flat out refused to bring in an experienced coach while here but has immediately done so at Man Utd.

I can't believe for a minute Graeme Carrick was unavailable.

Still, if he had agreed to that we probably wouldn't have Hellberg. Who I'm convinced will go onto far greater things than Carrick will.

And Hellberg knows I’m miserable now
Oh but I'm not miserable now, I'm actually quite a cheerful Chester!
Hellberg may be completely unaware of this also, but in general I think he knows most Boro fans, with the exception of a few posters on here are happy now as a rule.
