Dispatches tonight

Apart from looking at the interesting question of how we pay off the 400+billion pound bill for Covid, there was a fair bit on the regeneration of Teesside. No idea what the answer is regards to the economy but good to see some positive ways the area is moving forward.

Sorry Alvez didn’t see your earlier post.

The plastic to fuel pellets business - Waste Knot featured which is good but it needs 20 of such businesses to make a difference. Gresham House are well respected in the City for making profits through Venture Capital so its a good sign if they are involved providing capital. The City guy from Gresham said cheap land is tall around the North here lots of underutilised labour. It just needs people with the cash who are willing to take a bit of a risk. To be honest this is not about paying for Covid (the objective of the programme), the lack of relative investment in the North has been shocking for several decades now and its cost the country money in lost taxes and increased welfare benefits. It also contributed to the BREXIT vote imo.

No worries at all Johm glad I wasn't the only geek watching it. 😂

It served as a pertinent reminder for me to look into green shares to diversify further.

I found the actual program lacking in important information, there's a lot going on in the background that is very 'new territory of monetary policy' in a dangerous way but they only really mentioned the tip of the iceberg. Hope you took some good information from it.

Gresham House I believe have a investment trust linked to Energy Storage as well green projects trusts. See Electric cars thread on here and its clear that energy storage is going to a big field as demand for renewable electricity increases tremedously, an energy form which has been difficult to manage.

Alvez, I think that is what dispatches is about. A short interesting programme that gives you a little taster of the theme and then if you are interested, you do further research yourself. I have found myself a few times googling bits that they have mentioned and before you know it, another nights gone.
