Do Sky offer any decent footy coverage outside the Premier League?

Just went to the transfer deadline page on the SkySports website and clicked on Boro to see if there is any news https://www.skysports.com/middlesbrough-transfers , there is almost nothing current there at all. Is this typical? I have only really been following footy a bit more closely again after a few years away in the last 6 months or so, I remember their coverage used to be pretty decent even during previous stints in the championship.

During the daytime slots Sky Sports is mostly just Gary Neville watching players career highlights, and old Rangers v Celtic matches.

No not really it's all about the Premier League still talking about Lukaku at the minute signed for Chelsea around a fortnight ago. Seriously thinking of getting rid of it.

I love footy but one of the reasons I turned away from it for a few years was just the glut of the premier league and champions league games rammed down my throat. I am not a huge fan of ticky-tack football, to begin with, which seems to be the prevalent style now, but, worst of all, the number of corporate sponsors and money again rammed down my throat is just too much to bare especially when it seems to be all about the same 10 clubs all the time.
It is barely a sport anymore it has become a plaything for billionaires and dramatised to an inch of its life by the media. I honestly prefer the football in the Championship to the prem at times, it is a shame it gets such crappy coverage.

Sky and talksport will spend 90% of the day talking or tweeting about 6 clubs. The majority of the prem don't get mentioned.... Good luck if you support Southampton / Burnley etc.

I'd rather here more about the likes of West ham / Leicester who are on the up and doing it the right way. They still spend all day droning on about arsenal 😕

You'd think the footballing world is made up of 6 clubs. Imagine if they all fecked off to the ESL? What would they talkabout.

Sky and their media cousin are now called "SKY Ronaldo" and "Talk RonaldoCitehSpurs"(n)
They bow to who pays:
Follow the money.💰🏧💷

Sky Sports have rights to the German Bundesliga this season. Usually a game on Saturdays and Sundays

Again the style of German Football is just not to my personal taste, the same goes for Italian, too slow and defensive. I admit a lot of this just comes down to personal preference, but I would rather they show 2/3 more Championship/ League1+2 games than Bundesliga, would mean more money going into the lower leagues here too.

Sky show quite a lot of the EFL games, 138 games this season to be precise. I think that’s a few more than the number of Premier League games they’ll show.

Is that on the red button? Or are they 138 featured games throughout the season?

The transfer deadline guff's all for Sky's and the agents benefit, can't be arsed with it much now. Happy with what we've got tbf and hope we don't let anyone else go! Couldn't care less whether Daniel James goes to Leeds or Everton and what Ronaldo's having for breakfast!

Was just about to post the same. I started watching serie A again last season and it's a surprisingly different style of play to years previous. Some incredible attacking talents in the league and the "smaller" teams actually seem keen to have a go. Rarely you will see a serie A team shut up shop (at least domestically) these days.

Love the Bundesliga as well. Pace, power and strength. Watched the highlights show last night, incredibly weekend of results 👍

I’m bemused by this.
Prior to Sky, how many Championship (then Division Two) games were televised. Only locally IIRC.
Seems to be easy to bash Sky.

The clue was there in the way Italy played in the Euros. Still, well, cheats, but a lot more attacking a lot more dynamic and less defensive

Serie A is on BT this season and I’m loving it. The games I’ve watched have been really competitive and with plenty of goals.
