Do you think Dael Fry is off

Depending on what Lenihan was sent off for, he could be suspended for Sheffield United and Stoke, Fry will be playing.

If it was a last man challenge, he'll just miss the Barnsley match, if it was deemed serious foul play, he has a 3 match ban.

I see, yes. To be honest I was presuming that the back three vs Blades would be McNair, Bola and Dijksteel (with Lenihan suspended)

I hope it is only one game, but I think that would have been a red wherever it was on the pitch, last man or not, he connected with his chest with a high boot.
I think it'll be serious foul play, personally.
He was very late but I don't think there was any malice in his challenge so hopefully a 1 match ban. It is the Boro though, so probably be 4.

I don't think intent matters, serious foul play and violent conduct are two separate categories with the same punishment.

I'd say serious foul play is often accidental.

You only get away with it if your name is Branthwaite and you're kicking Dael Fry in the face.

But again, hopefully the referee just deemed it a last man challenge.

Said on another thread yesterday that Ben Godfrey's broken leg on Saturday might lead to Everton looking for another defender to replace him, whether that's Fry or someone else, it could very well lead to a domino effect where others start looking at Fry.

I think Leicester could be looking for new centre back in the near future too. Not sure if Fry is good enough to make that step up yet, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Lenihan’s looked a straight red for a foul as the last defender, so should only be one game. I am starting to think there’s more to Fry being injured than meets the eye, so maybe we are going to let him go if we get the famous left sided centre half in. At the moment the most vital incoming is Tav’s replacement, but no one linked so far I see? As I have said on another thread, the fact we don’t have a replacement lined up is pretty poor, as it isn’t Riley!
McGree is a completely different player to Tav but the lad has vision and when we were holding the ball up front you could see Riley having more influence.

Confirmed it just a one game ban and he misses the cup game vs Barnsley 👍🏻
