I am not sure. It is a difficult balancing act.

If you are too strict then people will ignore it. However any relaxation risks undoing the good recent results. For the first time in ages we are seeing some good results. Here are the latest stats from my area from yesterday.

The good news is that I will be able to make my annual pilgrimage to Iceland in Vera early next week. To buy Xmas food treats. It is just about the only time I go in an "English shop".

The Spanish do not normally start going out on an evening until at least 8pm. More often later than that. So I guess 8pm is a good balance.

Ex-pats who like an early tea can start a bit later. The Spanish can start a bit earlier.

Ha - exactly the same for me - the once a year trip to Iceland in Fuengirola for us (though I like to go in disguise so I don't get spotted :cool: ) - we've got a Tesco option there as well this year apparently
