If you didn’t think hmmmmm followed by chin holding emoji.. then they wouldn’t be dark horses.Never heard of him.
Think Sunderland will do okay, but pushing playoffs.......not sure. Two of their biggest signings - Roberts and Clarke - were already there last season, the West Ham lad is by all accounts a good player.....but being dark horses.....hmmmm

Simms could be a replacement for Ross Stewart who we enquired about last week.
He only has 1 year left on his contract and has not signed a new offer.
Could we steal him from them ?

16 goals last season In 36 games - used sparingly at times .
If he scored 16 goals for us that would do me.
Keep him fit and he is proven in this league.
Derby and Sheff Wed linked so must be available for a loan and on reasonable wages.
Loved him when at Leeds, he was quality, maybe he can re produce that.
Prefer him to Rhodes and McGoldrick

‘keep him fit’ that’s the problem. He can’t stay fit anymore. He is the very definition of injury prone, if he wasn’t he would be playing at a high level as he’s a good player but his best is behind him now

But looks like they are not happening , Roofe is just one of many other options, I could name , many in Europe , but I won't go into names just in case
