It all depends on who we bring in, surely?
They wanted Hoppe, but he chose to come here and I suspect we'll bring another couple in that will be better quality than him, on paper at least.
He's had a decent start though.

£500k with his potential and goals previously scored - could well be one of the signings of the season. Better than anything we have currently

Apologies if I'm wrong, but if you where talking about Simms, you didn't seem too confident yourself.

And that was in relation to the lines we were being fed about marquee signings! Stand by what I said however I would have had Simms above the two we have signed.

We can’t sign all then potential out there plus he’s also just on loan . Forss and hoppe are our players , should they do well their won’t be going back to another club and sold on after doing well here .

I would wager on Simms out scoring both of our two purchases- and they both cost around 5 times as much. If wrong? Great. Did Everton just loan him? Would have been a better acquisition. I thought they were looking for £500k? His value will be shooting up with a decent season.

It's a long old season. The Mackems starting well is great for them, but we'll see where we are at the World Cup break.

Ellis simms I think will disappear off the edge of a cliff with Sunderland form, we are 3 games into a 46 game season and simms is the new maradonna.
Forss will score more than simms I’m pretty confident of that.

He could finish the season with 6 goals. I'm not sure we where ever in for him?
I'm not remotely worried or flapping about who we may or may not have bought. The proof will come on May when we see who's scored and how many.
Forss or Hoppe could score 15-20 goals and everyone will be raving about them.

can you show us the posting where you were backing the Boro signing Ellis? - where you were advocating Boro signing him ? where you said in advance that he would be a very useful acquisition ? - asking for a scout with integrity !
Marcus Forss already has 10 Championship goals from the bench in a promotion winning side, their fans have reluctantly agreed he needs regular game time and this move is important to him. They also feel like they've been fleeced on price. He is ours, he's going nowhere come the end of the season, if he does well we're the only ones standing to benefit from him in terms of acheivements or in terms of finance.
Not to mention he's already got one for us.
Matthew Hoppe is 21, has 6 Bundesliga goals in around 22 appearances in which not to many were starts. He's also an international and has goals at Senior international level.
He is ours, a very low fee with possible high rewards, financially or in terms of acheivements, he's going nowhere for anyone else to benefit.
Simms, might do well, I'm doubting Sunderland will do to much and at the end of the year off he goes. Or he could have a Grabban situation and be off in January.
