Harry Maguire not only looks like he’s dragging a skip full of radiators, his distribution is god awful. Gave the ball to them on two occasions and one nearly cost us. Also played a 70 yard diag to the 6 foot 7 ermm Phil Foden to flick on. I don’t think he’s playing enough and its showing.

The same maguire that was probably mom against USA. Though I agree not been great tonight.

But on the other hand he’s probably a good shout for mom in the three group games.

To be fair to McGuire, there was very little on for him and he's trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle. If it comes off it looks brilliant, if it doesn't, the **** hits the fan. He would have been better off keeping the ball.

Made a really good tackle earlier when Foden gave it away.

Tried to force it a couple of times - just needs to be patient.

Stones, Saka and Walker have made just as many defensive mistakes yet they aren’t getting called out, Maguire also saved a one on one. It seems fashionable to call him out and ignore others mistakes. Same for Man Utd, he makes the headlines if something goes wrong but most of the time he’s covering for Lindelof who is far worse than him as he simply won’t put any kind of challenge in ever and he often had Fred and McTominay in front of him who wouldn’t move into space to take the ball off him leaving him stuck with the ball too often while under pressure .
 
Three subs for them, going for it.

Keep it tight for ten minutes, snuff them out, then Wilson, Rashford and Grealish on to run them ragged on the break.

Think Walker has been pretty poor compared to his normal standard, understandably rusty with his lack of game time though.

Swap for Trippier, or let him get the minutes in he obviously needs?

I’d give it ten mins then bring him off, if we score a third put Trippier to the left and bring TAA on as well.
