Everything, Everywhere, all at once

I struggled a bit to keep up with the subtitles when I watched it. The text was tiny and they were moving really fast and my eyes are getting worse as I get older. I still really liked it.

Once you remove the martial arts and their metaphorical entertainment, it was about nihilism and how it's hard to fight against because nobody wins.
It struck a chord because we are in the midst of a culture war where conflict is actively encourage to keep that war going. I'm as guilty as the next man of fighting for what I believe in.
It might be a bit schmaltzy to say that we need more love in the world, but we definitely need to find a way to meet somewhere in the middle and accept one and other.
The most telling part was the two rocks on the cliff scene as it distilled modern life down to a tee.
Sadly, I can't imagine the right enjoying it or indeed seeing the message, it's far too woke and I say that as I, like them, really don't know what woke means from one culture war day to the next.

Interesting concept and storyline, but I don't think it deserves the hype at all.

In fact I think as a whole it was a bit of a mess.

I'm really sorry, but I'm older than you and I have really struggled to read your post. Could you increase your font size please.

It’s just swept the board at the Oscars. Winning 7, including 4 of the big 5 (No nomination for best actor)
Missed it a cinema, hopefully it will get another run.

This film was highly recommended by a friend so I watched it full of expectation.

I stuck with it to the bitter end but have to say I really didn’t enjoy it.

I could see what I thought they were trying to do but it was irritating and as previously stated a bit of a mess.

I was very surprised when it received such acclaim.

thought it was rubbish, gave up after 20 min. Probably only the 3rd movie Ive stopped part way through. In my view not worth the hype at all......feels like the usual luvvy film to sweep the oscars. Saying that I also thought Austin Butler should have won best actor for Elvis as he was amazing in it.

Sounds similar to the recommendations to watch the Banshees of Inisherin.

Funny in parts, maybe I missed the dialogue? At the end was left thinking "what on earth have I just watched?".

Watched it last night & thought it was ok, nothing to write home about & not one I'll be watching again. It - reminded me, in its story telling style, of a mash up of: Red Dwarf meets Bill & Ted with an nod to Monty Python.

I just don't buy into - awards ceremonies - too many are created by & awarded by the very people / group receiving the awards..

I've seen both EEaaO & Banshees of Inisherin, between those two I thought Banshees was far, far superior in story, telling & as a film. I can see why EEaaO didn't do as well over here, at our awards.

Who? What? Where? and How? Is the name it goes by in my house. After 20 mins the film was abandoned due to fog.

Well there you go - I liked it. What the Matrix could have been if it had had a sense of humour.
