Evidently it is a Derby.

To be honest I thought their fans were weirdly subdued tonight, even up until we scored which surprised me considering they seemed to come into it feeling confident. Boro fans made it a great atmosphere but they were quiet I thought.

They were very angry after the final whistle mind. Loads of theirs and our lot goading each other through the fence as I walked through the car park and bottles were thrown, some of their fans were spitting through the fence and threw a ripped out seat. I wonder if there's been any trouble.

And they dont care about us, unless they get angry at other grounds aftyer a defeat, you would have thought they were use to losing away games

Think it was the "Sunderland get battered" song after full-time which riled them. Looked like there was something going on in the east stand, not sure whether some of them managed to get over to the Boro fans but there was loads of stewards and police trying to sort it out.

Didnt hear that, what was that about

Yeah I didn't have a great view from where I was sitting but it looked as if some of their fans managed to climb over and get into the Boro end but I could be wrong. Not sure if any actual fighting broke out but at one point it looked as if it was about to spill over.

Crackers

I wasn't sat right next to them like I was in the cup, and they were surprisingly quiet, but did Sunderland come out with any of the usual disgusting chants this time?

I didn't pick any up, but it could have just been the distance.

They were chanting "paedos" at the south stand near the end when they had a corner and our fans wouldn't throw the ball back and I'm sure I heard one rendition of "shag your children". Otherwise it made a pleasant change not to hear those chants.

Disappointingly a lot of fans in the south stand seemed to join in on the Adam Johnson song which was sung before kick-off. Probably mainly would have been daft kids.

I don't think they even sang "We hate Boro" either which was weird. They're usually always up for it when they come here but like I said they seemed weirdly subdued this time.

I heard a two or three of the usual pedo chants during a lull in the noise but our fans drowned them out most of the game 👍🏻

Well after 4 seasons in the lower league they were probably stage struck ;)

Yes first one 15 mins before kick off

And the Other one 3 mins after kick off and it was en masse as well.

Ah shame, I'd naively hoped they'd seen the error of their ways with the chants and cut them out.

At least they weren't very loud.

They did it several times, but as per usual will not be mentioned. Which is completely bizarre as apparently behaviour and language of this nature is completely not tolerated in this day an age.

There was a pedo chant aimed at whoever kept onto the ball. I saw a few try to make it over to the east stand for a scrap.. looked like a few tumbles which served them right. But, yeah overall embarrassed themselves going full windmill at the family stand.

Good match. They weren’t as good as I thought they could be.. great to see Prichard and Embleton going at each other in the tunnel at half time!! Still had beef when Embleton came on for Prichard!!

Welcome back mackems!! Mowbray will have you finishing higher than Alex Neil. The young uns will benefit from mogga’s guidance.

Advice? Sing a bit, enjoy yourselves.. don’t try and batter families and young kids!
