Will be 40 years since he lost to Reagan in the 1981 election. 95 years young he is by far the longest serving “post president” ever. Highly regarded now and more so than he was during office.

My Dad, a wise old bird on such matters, always said long term history would judge Jimmy Carter in a much kinder light than that shone on him at the time of his loss to Reagan. Personally I think he's a great man. How America could do with someone with his decency and humanity in charge now. Let's see how Joe measures up.
