Facundo Pellistri & Anthony Elanga

Decision to be made today on whether two of United's brightest young talents will be allowed to leave on loan.

You would like to think that if they are, Michael Carrick's phone call will be an easy one to take by United. Flying in the league, playing good football under a manager that United know ever so well.

It's been suggested that some European clubs and lower Premier League clubs would be after Elanga, so that may be a difficult one to do, however Pellistri looks interesting.

Described as a 'pacey, tricky wide forward', he's a Uruguayan international, having made 10 appearances for his national team. 21 years old.

Manchester United have received 10 loan offers for Sweden winger Anthony Elanga, with Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven among the clubs interested, but Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is reluctant to let the 20-year-old leave. (FourFourTwo)

Nice though it would to take them United would insist on game time and I just would worry about the disruption their integration would involve.

I think they'd get the game time here.

You've seen what Amad Diallo is doing at Blunderland. These two are clearly rated higher by United than him.

Nobody should be 'guaranteed' a first team spot, and I don't think Carrick would agree to that, but they'd play plenty here.

I'd be amazed if either of those options end up at Boro. Both amongst the highest rated prospects in Europe. Top flight loans I think.

That said, I was on a flight to Sweden a couple of years back sat next to Elanga and his agent. His agent picked up on my Boro screensaver on my phone and we had a chat about the team (Warnock was in charge at the time I believe, the guy was a close family friend of Fletcher too I think). Hopefully his agent has a long memory :)
