Farage coming back?

Seen his name pop up in the media a few times recently and then there is an article in the FT today (behind paywall) with the headline:

"Nigel Farage scents opportunity in UK's migrant boat quandary"

It's got me thinking that this might be great news for Labour. It might take Tory votes and aid a win. Although it might take Labour votes too.

What's everyone's thoughts... Good or bad for Labour?

I think the migrant crisis will definitely be one of the key issues at the next GE.

The tories have completely failed. I would have thought that Farage would appeal to the same people that voted for Brexit

It would be good news for Labour, sad that its needed to dilute the tory vote.
A good chunk of the brexit supporting ex Labour voters are not coming back to Labour any time soon.
If some go to a brexit style party it opens the door for Labour.
The country has lurched to the right, or woken up to their own right wing views, not massively but enough to swing enough seats to keep the tories in power.
Had LBC on for the last hour discussing the awful fate of those poor people who drowned.
The lack of compassion and hate makes me despair.
I hate what the likes if farage have done to our country

I've tried to avoid any of the comments sections below any of the reports as i know what a cesspit it would be. Unfortunately i've seen screenshots. I can't get my head around how anyone could revel in such a tragedy. Children have died and people are saying "good". I just don't get it.

Much like Boris he's a master of self promotion and elevating the insecurities of joe fkwit in this country to bogeyman proportions.
But it sells print and gets clicks so the media love them and the whole process becomes horrifically self-perpetuating.

Should be investigated as a hate crime, every single one of them.

It's legitimised those views unfortunately. Although there's an argument bringing those views out into the open means they can be tackled head on, that's not what's been happening because our government sympathise with many of them (and arguably are in power partly because of them).

Anyone who considers seriously voting for a character like Farage isnt a true Labour Party supporter. I can’t marry the two trains of thought up. They have nothing in common politically.

Forage is another politician who comes across as talking 'common sense' to some people with his easy answers to the problems. It is only because he has never had to implement any of his policies that people think this though. If he could implement them then I really believe he would completely crash and burn. He is clever though as he just puts pressure on other people and so swings arguments his way and leaves it to others to fail for him.

Never forget on the night of the EU vote when the exit poll suggested a vote for remain he said we will never give up trying to get us out of the EU, so he was only going to respect the vote if he won.
