Festival of Remembrance

I was at Norton Cricket ground this morning where there were many local school kids and families. A story was told about the Paras in Arnhem. After the war they went back for their mates to be buried locally. Every year since then the local children go and lay poppies at the graves. The tears running down the parents faces . Some of them original kids are now in their 80's and still doing it.

Always very emotional and a great moment of pride for all our British service men and women past and present, the recent evacuation from Afghanistan must have been very harrowing but addressed with great professionalism and compassion.
