Fighters in the sky

Seriously I’ve checked flight radar and there is a falcon dotting between Humberside and here .
 
I never hear jets where we live, but we live about 8 miles from Luton airport, would that be the reason why we don't get military jets overhead? We do have a couple of red kites though, not as fast as a typhoon but much prettier.

Back in the day of one of the Gulf wars 94/95, I remember working at Ketton Cement on some generators, and RAF Tornado's were using it in practice bombing runs. (no bombs fortunately) it was an amazing sight and experience. I guess the terrain and the fact that the cement factory looked like a WMD factory meant it was a good target.
