Fiorentina v West Ham - Thoughts?

For some reason listening to the radio this morning a lot of people seem to think West Ham have got one hand on the trophy tonight?

This Firorentina side is not to be taken lightly, they had a really strong finish to the Serie A season (2 defeats in their last 16 games) finishing 8th, and only lost out to Inter in the Coppa Italia final.

I think Wet Ham will find it very tough tonight, and I can see Fiorentina winning this in normal time - I really like the look of Cabral up front too, he has the potential to cause some problems!

Quite looking forward to this one.

It think that is just typical of British Media, we always seem to make our clubs/national team somehow favourites.

An italian side in any final is a dangerous opposition, the dark arts will be out in full force, especially if they take the lead. From my limited knowledge of Fiorentina i know they like to keep the ball and have lots of possesion which could suit West Ham on the counter.

This is definitely the biggest game any English team has been involved in since 1966. Which coincidentally enough was also West Ham apparently.

2006 Uefa Cup final, which is the Europa League today. The 2nd best euro trophy available, one higher than the one west ham are playing for.

Not a patch on the Anglo Scottish Cup like.
