I've managed a couple of 'audience with' events, plus the Deershed Base Camp, which have been great, but it's the proper gigs in small venues I'm so looking forward to. Mine start roaring back from Friday. Can't wait.

Red Light at least is such a good song it is even worthy of a (controversial) classification as a Northern Soul song, so wait until that's been on before you hit the bar.
 
Ah, when the going get's tough, the tough get the bevvies in!

Was at my third post lockdown gig on Monday and the fourth is on Friday and it feels weird being "in a crowd" for about ten minutes and then it will feel just like it ever did. Enjoy!
 
When the red light spells danger, I will assume it means the CO2 levels are running low so beer could be scarce!!!

The only pointing and foot tapping taking place will be accompanied by me saying "how much" and c'mon some of us are thirsty over here!!!

Quite looking forward to it really, as I say not my style of music but to be back somewhere with proper live music is making me all giddy!!!

Up there as one of my al ltime top 50 songs, cracking artist

Please dont go to the bar when this is on

I went to an ABBA night recently with my daughter & the emotions that came over me as the music started was incredible, very moving, hope yopu feel the same tonight

Cheers Erimus and I promise I won't go to the bar.

So far I've got to

No bar during the Red Light song
No singing out loud
No pointing (god knows how tilers or brickies get on with this rule)
No foot tapping

Its like going swimming in the 80s all over again with all the No rules (depending on Mrs Pak there may be some petting)

Which is the best for me of his music, great memories of my youth back in the 70's, friday night disco then going to AP on the saturday (y)

Bl00dy Mr E I'm going to struggle to get to the bar at this rate.

And between you and me, some foot tapping and occasional singing may take place (but definitely no pointing)

It was good cheers Erimus, bit strange to start with but once songs lile red light etc kicked in plenty of people got in to the swing of things.

One thing though and I know this will really annoy some, but when he sang when the going gets tough, Billy stuck his microphone out to the audience to encourage us to sing back. I didn't join in and instead remarked I had come to hear Billy Ocean, not a middle aged woman who was next to me.

The Mrs was not impressed
